Itinerary
DAY 1: Cusco – Humantay Lake – Cusco
Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and departure for the town of Mollepata (2,900 m.a.s.l.) to enjoy a typical breakfast.
Continue to Soraypampa (3,900 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of the hike, where a brief Andean ceremony of gratitude to Pachamama (Mother Earth) will take place.
Begin the ascent to Humantay Lagoon (4,200 m.a.s.l.), a hike of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours with panoramic views of the Salkantay mountain.
Free time at the lagoon to rest, take photos, and enjoy its spectacular turquoise color.
Descent to Soraypampa and transfer to Mollepata for a buffet lunch.
Return to Cusco, arriving between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
